Blue Steel Shrimp, is a stunning and highly sought-after freshwater shrimp species that originates from Asia, but has become popular among aquarium hobbyists in Australia and around the world.

As the name suggests, Blue Steel Shrimp have a striking blue-gray coloration that covers their entire body, with some individuals having slightly darker or lighter hues depending on their age and breeding. With their amazing appearance, which makes them even more captivating to watch as they move gracefully through the water.

Typically growing up to 2-2.5 cm in length.

Compatibility: Blue Steel Shrimp are generally peaceful and can be kept with other non-aggressive aquarium inhabitants. However, they are best kept in a dedicated shrimp-only aquarium or with other dwarf shrimp species.

Feeding: Blue Steel Shrimp are omnivores and will eat a variety of foods including algae, biofilm, and commercial shrimp pellets. It’s important to provide them with a balanced diet to ensure their health and longevity.

Availability: Blue Steel Shrimp are not as widely available as some other shrimp species and may be more expensive due to their rarity and popularity.
